Fluorite - Greenlaws Mine, England

Notes:
Here we have an absolutely exquisite example from an old English locality. The Greenlaws Mine first operated in the mid-late 1800's for its lead production. Attempts were made in the 1900's to reopen the mine for its fluorspar, but they were unsuccessful until 2010. The mine is currently known to produce these amber/purple fluorites like this specific piece, but that certainly isn't the only combinations they have found! Just like the Diana Maria/Rogerley Mine, this material is highly flourescent under LW/UV.
